Welcome
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Pima Association of Governments' annual bike count! The dates of the count are March 31st - May 4th.
Volunteers will be expected to sign up for shifts at pre-designated sites. Volunteers will sign up for a site and will be responsible for conducting the count on a date of their choosing.
Weekday counts occur on Mondays through Thursdays, from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. and from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Weekend counts occur on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Tips for volunteers:
- Arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled shift to ensure you are ready to start counting on time.
- If your schedule changes and you can no longer conduct a count that you have signed-up for, please contact the PAG program coordinator as soon as possible so that the location can be re-opened for another volunteer.
- Volunteers are asked to complete waiver to participate.
- Checklist of items to bring to the count:
□ print a new count sheet for each hour of counting
□ two pens, one for backup
□ a time-keeping device (watch, cell phone)
□ water and snacks
□ weather protection (hat, sunscreen, umbrella, jacket, sunglasses)
