A threshold was identified for the ndvi surface to reclassify the surface to only represent vegetation with a value of 1 and non-vegetation was not classified. The ndsm is generated by subtracting the LiDAR based bare earth surface from the first return surface to get a \"height above ground\" surface. These surfaces were multiplied against each other to assign a height above ground to the vegetation cells.
