Description: FP_RESTR displays riparian restoration projects in eastern Pima County. Some of the projects have Army Corps of Engineers involvement, while some are purely the work of the Regional Flood Control District. Some of the features represent fenced plots where revegetation work is undertaken, while some of the features are simply the parcel boundaries that encompass the projects. Furthermore, some of the features, particularly those for Corps projects, represent planning areas that encompass large portions of the adjacent uplands. An example of the latter would be the "Tres Rios del Norte" project.
Also note, some of the active, plot-specific RFCD projects sit within the planning boundaries for the Corps projects. The large planning areas for the Corps projects can represent the extent of land cover mapping and archaeological survey that is required for federal environmental clearance and funding. From a temporal standpoint, projects are attributed as "Planned", "In Construction", or "Existing".
