Description: stcl_maj displays a network of major street centerlines in Pima County using streets that are appropriate as a reference layer on maps. stcl_maj does NOT use the criteria from Major Streets & Scenic Routes Plans of Pima County and the City of Tucson. Post-processing is done to dissolve stcl_maj on the STREET field and then each segment is broken at each intersection by the Feature to Line tool in ArcGIS.
Known Errors/Qualifications: If a portion of a road is considered a major road, this layer will contain all segments of that road. Some park roads that are not classified as major are included.
12/2013: While this layer is maintained as a Shapefile, the coverage format is still required for certain nightly processing. See Steve Whitney. - FEMA floodplain data extraction process

Description: stinters displays street intersections and ends of streets that don't end at an intersection as points. Street ends are considered an intersection with "END OF ROAD" in the STREET2 field.
Known Errors/Qualifications: street name fields (1 to 4) and roadid fields (1 to 4) don't necessarily correlate with each other. i.e. street2's RoadID may not be in the roadid2 field.
The number of street names and RoadID's for an intersection may not be the same because street names are not duplicated while RoadID's are all unique and therefore included.
There are a number of "pseudo intersection nodes" where two street segments meet and have the same name. These are historical artifacts from previous street models that may be removed in the future.
